BFAM: Speaking of Muay Thai, you recently had a smoker. Tell me a little bit about it. How do you feel it went?
NR: Well I've been training pretty hard 3 weeks prior to my fight. My routine consisted of running early in the morning, then training and sparring in the evening. On top of that, I was dieting and not drinking (alcohol). Going into the fight I was confident and ready to go. Even when I saw my ripped and shredded opponent, I still felt confident and ready to go to battle.
The fight didn't go as how I pictured it in my mind. But at the same time looking at things in hindsight it didn't go terribly wrong. At the end of the day I fought a guy who had more experience. He had more experience than some of my trainers. The dude had 6 smokers and 9 amateur fights. And amateur fights are pretty hard core, because those involve elbows and knees to the face, and shin to shin contact. Keep in mind, I have only had 2 smokers.
BFAM: So when you peak into the future what do you see? More fighting, training? Where do you see Yes For Chess in a few years?
NR: As for fighting, I'm gonna fight again soon! I know what I need to work on, I'm gonna train harder, and just put on a great show for all my fans out there. (Hahaha!) But for now I've been letting my body heal up and rest, and just trying to concentrate on my business. I want to expand (Yes for Chess) into the south bay, and then maybe Marin county/San Francisco. Depending on how that goes, I'd like to then expand domestically to other states. |
