BFAM: Nicholas, good to see you, how's it going?
NR: Hey Dru what’s up, I'm doing good. How are the kids?
BFAM: Kids are great, thanks. How's your leg?
NR: My legs doing a lot better, but it's still a little bruised and beat up from my fight which was only 3 weeks ago. But I'll manage.
BFAM: So, for those that don't know, tell us, what is Yes For Chess?
NR: We are an after school chess program. So I have instructors that go to different elementary schools and they work with the kids and teach them chess.
BFAM: When did you realize you wanted to start your own chess program?
NR: I used to work for another company that taught chess, I was with them for about 3 and a half years. After leaving that company, I worked for a mortgage company.
At ELOAN I realized I didn’t hate what I do, but for sure couldn’t see myself doing that for much longer. So from there I started doing research on starting my own business. And now after 2 years under my belt of being a business owner I have a staff of 8 that instruct close to 300 kids.
